My name is Maya, and I’m writing to you from the heart of New York City. For years, I dreamed of creating a space where I could connect with like-minded individuals—and now, that dream has come to life. You might be wondering what this blog is all about. Let me tell you a little bit about myself and why I’m here.


Building a Life in Data & AI

I’m in my 30s, and for the past several years, I’ve built a successful career in Data & AI. Years ago, knowing that AI would shape the future, I chose this field to be part of that journey. Envisioning a life that was comfortable and interesting—a life far different from what I experienced growing up—I did everything in my power to make it happen.

Therefore, I moved to a new country, went to graduate school, and learned a new language. Consequently, I worked hard to become the person I am today.


Discovering My True Mission

In my corporate career, I find the most joy in helping others grow, both personally and professionally. This realization helped me understand my mission in life—the thing that truly brings me happiness. It’s lifting others up and contributing to their success.

Now, I’m living with my husband and our beloved dog on the beautiful Upper West Side. We bought our first apartment here last year, and it feels like a dream come true. Yet, I find myself asking, “Why am I still searching for happiness every day?”


The Pursuit of Mindfulness

“Happiness is an ongoing practice. It’s something I have to remind myself to nurture every single day.”

Moreover, the surprising thing is that our happiness isn’t tied to our possessions—it’s connected to our mindset. For years, I chased external markers of success, thinking they would bring me joy. However, I’ve realized that peace and mindfulness are what I’m truly after. I’m not yet the calm, centered person I aspire to be, but I’ve learned a lot along the way.


Exploring Mindfulness Around the World

Exploring different cultures and traditions has taught me that mindfulness takes many forms around the world. By practicing meditation in serene temples in Southeast Asia, learning about ancient rituals in Europe, and connecting with the simplicity of life in small villages, I’ve found that each place offers new insights into what it means to live mindfully.

I want to share that journey with you, in the hope that together, we can find a bit of serenity in this chaotic, social media-driven world.


Why Mindfulness Matters in a Chaotic World

One of the reasons I started this blog is because of the lack of meaningful content on the internet. Every day, we’re bombarded with quick, shallow snippets of information designed to hold our attention for just a moment. Furthermore, social media feeds us endless distractions and makes us believe that happiness lies in buying the next product or achieving the next goal.

As an introvert who craves deeper connections, I’ve struggled to find content that speaks to the things that matter most—like mindfulness, personal growth, and the deeper meaning of life. I’ve found a few books and channels that resonate with me, but they seem so few and far between. Consequently, it feels like the world of thoughtful, meaningful content is shrinking, replaced by a culture of copy-paste, surface-level engagement.

That’s why I’m here. Therefore, I want to create a space for people who are searching for something more—a community of like-minded individuals who are on a journey toward mindfulness and self-discovery. Together, we can explore what it means to live a meaningful life, even amidst the hustle and noise of the city.
